As a public charter, the annual completion of the Eligible School Summary Report (ESSR) in PowerSchool is one of many required reports that must be submitted prior to the end of year process. By attending this session, you will learn more about why the submission of this report is required, how the contents of the report are used by the state and federal government, and how to complete and submit the report in PowerSchool.

Oftentimes, your PowerSchool data director submits this report, but school leaders NEED to be involved. We will offer a follow up session on how to move your school program’s agenda using your ESSR status and offer you support and advice on what to do next.

This session will be presented by Jennifer Lucas, co-founder of Alliance Education Services and veteran charter school leader, and Dr. Tina Hinson of NCDPI. Dr. Hinson serves as Program Administrator in the Federal Programs Monitoring and Support Division. From July 2018 – July 2020, she served all of the Eastern charter schools. She is currently serving the districts, charters, and Lab Schools that are located in the Southeast Region of the state. She brings more than 30 years of experience in education to her current role.
