Supporting the Social-Emotional Needs of Our Students During Covid-19
October 13 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
For our students, families, and teaching staff, the impacts of Covid 19 have taken their toll. While there is little published research on the effect the pandemic has had on our students, we as educators see the damage it has caused because we know and care for our kids. At this time, attending to our students’ social and emotional needs is more critical than ever before. It is also more challenging while we are separated. Peaceful Schools NC, a program devoted to building and maintaining healthy relationships and a thriving school community, stands ready to offer support. We will provide a free webinar that covers the mindset of prioritizing SEL and focuses on strategies for building connections with our kids while we are socially distanced. You’ll hear from a variety of teachers and administrators in our Peaceful Schools network, with the possibility for breakout sessions based on interest. Come ready to get some new tools in your toolbox, ask questions, and share some of the effective strategies you have utilized.
