Union Academy Named 2016 North Carolina School of Character

Union Academy Charter School is pleased to announce that Character.org, a national advocate and leader for the character education movement in collaboration with the North Carolina State Board of Education and Department of Public Instruction, named Union Academy a 2016 North Carolina School of Character. The program recognized Union Academy as a school that has demonstrated its use of character development to drive a positive impact on academics, student behavior, and Union Academy’s climate.


Union Academy is one of only four schools in the state of North Carolina to receive the designation of 2016 North Carolina School of Character.  Not only is Union Academy the first charter school in Union County, it is the first charter school in the state to receive this honor!  Read More
