NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. — North Carolina’s first all-girls public charter school is set to open in New Hanover County.
Twenty fourth grade girls had a fun-filled day learning about technology on Saturday.
“Today we’ve been learning about the wonders of technology and how it can help you in everyday life,” said Cheris Singleton-Irizarry, a fourth grade student.
The girls could also be a part of the first sixth grade class at Leadership Academy for Young Women.
The academy will be North Carolina’s first all-girls public charter school, which will be located in New Hanover County. Read more here…
