NCPCSA continues to grow!

“Success by Association”

May 13, 2015

To: Member Schools (listed below)

From: Association

Your Association continues to grow. Our billed revenue for the four and a half months year to date (we have a calendar fiscal year), is $212,000 compared to $148,000 a year ago for the same period, a 43% increase!

Our billings have come from program accounting services for our member schools (Integrated Solutions Information Systems) $108K, conference sponsorships, $49K, and all other, including school dues of $55K. Major expenses have been accounting subcontract fees paid, program wages, and program management fees. Cash in bank was $25,741.

We receive no grant funding.

In 2014 the Association entered into four contingent fee contracts to help selected charter applicants. This was done because of the dismal “pass rate” of the cohort of schools opening this year, 11 out of 71 applicants! Of the four we assisted, two have passed the Advisory Board and will be voted on June 4 by the SBE. When the schools open in 2016 the Association will have earned $24,000 each pending SBE approval. We are not only happy for the two applicants, Union Day School and Charlotte Classical School, which will be exemplary charters, but we are also happy we will be able to subsidize your dues and the cost of your Association by the $48,000 to be received next year!

Our form 990 for the year ended December 31, 2014 will be online shortly. Our other federal non-profit reports from 2012 and 2013 may be found here.

We thank our business members and conference sponsors. But a special thank you to these 77 school members below. We only include schools that have paid us membership dues in the last year (plus a 3 month grace period).
